 The Toad Tamer is an incredible rod if you are into extreme fishing. This stick is a MUST in your arsenal. It might look like a toy, But it`s a weapon that packs incredible punch and a load of fun.  Dear Bob,
I have been meaning to write you for a long time, about the wonderful rod you made me. First, But not necessarily most important. Speaking from a rod builders point of view, Your workmanship is impeccable. It is really refreshing to see the type of dedication to wrap so tight that no gaps appear in either the guide wraps or the decorative wrap above the handle. Putting the stripper roller guide inside the extended fore grip is the only way of truly assembling the rod to get the maximum effect out of it, But it requires workmanship that few rod builders are willing to put out. Bob, Max Kudos on your workmanship from Doc Ski. Now as to effectiveness as a fishing tool. I matched your rod with a two speed Penn International 12 T and 30# Izorline, Backed with 50# Spectra. On a recent trip to La Paz,Mx. thru Punta Colorada, The rod got tested Big Time! My target species were tuna in the 50 Lbs. class and dorado from 30 Lbs. and up. The combination performed flawlessly. The biggest surprise, Was how easily it handled 50 Lbs. tuna. Much to the surprise of the Captain and crew. I almost felt like i was cheating, Because it was so easy to control the fish and land them quickly, Which probably was the reason i was able to put limits on the boat daily and time to catch and realease even more. This year i am going to test it even harder. I`m going to put 50# line on it and shoot for billfish, wahoo, and even larger tuna. Knowing rods as I do, I have no doubts that it will excel again. Can`t wait to see the reaction when i pull out the little guynon the bigger fish.

Just a note to thank you for putting together such a great rod-now my prefered choice for soaking baits on the wreck off Miami. Here are a couple of shots of a 30+ Lbs. amberjack taken off such a wreck. When getting ready to tango with the likes of these back-breaking amberjacks. I always grab for my Tamer (as do my guests-as seen in this picture). There is just no other rod that can apply as much pressure on these toads as you can with the Tamer! Tight lines and screaming reels!

I can`t thank you enough for my Toad Tamer. On my last trip to the East cape, I had a ball. I teamed it up with a Calcutter 700S with 20 # test and i therw it to everything from roosters, dorado, and Marlin. Landed alot of fish. Lost the marlin, But not because of the rod. They say that a fisherman can`t have just one rod when he goes fishing, But i am a true believer that it is not true. I never plan to go fishing without my Toad Tamer. Thanks again.

Just wanted to say Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You took me under your wing and showed me the way. You also introduced me to many of your friends whom just happen to be great fishermen. I now have quite the arsenal. I LOVE my Toad Tamers. That`s right! I have more tha just one. I have the original and the new and improved one with the fore-grip that goes all the way up to the first guide. I have fished them on pangas in Mexico, Which they were originally made for.I have also fished them on the big boats and they handled superbly. I did get weird looks and a few comments at first, But all was forgotten when I landed fish. They are great when you are all bunched up and have to get over or under anglers. I have matched these with different reels like Penn, Avet, and Accurate. Man alive are they Lethal! I have recently received my new Super Tamer and am EXCITED to test this Beast out! I`ll let you know how it goes, But I`m sure it will exceed my expectations. Thank you once again. It`s Good to be the KING!
